Clearly, I did not ask my question well. My apologies if I asked it in a way that offended.

Not offended at all. I just know of no others. A lot of people here would like Nutt back but that will not happen. Many more want Tuberville as AD. I still think they will get Gragg from Tulsa as AD.

So you are saying he would prefer politics?

If the Arkansas fans had a vote they would want Petrino back. That should tell you Norvell rumors do not matter to the fan base. It may to the board.

Was Norvell the contributing factor for Todd Graham's success? Norvell seems like an easier sell to the Hog faithful than Chad, but they may feel burned after Malzahn and want a "bigger name" than a sitting AAC coach. The Hogs really like Texas high school students. They could go for a DFW based coach with deep Texas recruiting ties but I hope they don't.

Clint Stoerner, former Arkansas and Cowboy QB is high on Morris because of his ability to rebuild a new culture. And Arkansas right now is not too different than SMU was after Jones. Just at a higher level.

Possibilities at Arkansas being floated of joint AD and coach hires from both Memphis and South Florida.

I wish Arkansas would just rip off the band aid and pick someone already so the teams can focus on the bowl games...

Chad Morris was handed a program that statistically was one of the worst in the history of college football. Chad implemented the Offense that took Clemson from a losing record the year before he was hired to the National Championship and recruited much of the Offensive players who accomplished that-including the Most Valuable Player in the Country. People forget Dabo Sweeny was in serious job jeopardy until Morris got to Clemson

Not sure where you get that Dabo was ever in trouble at Clemson. It's been a love affair with him ever since he was hired, although giving him the job to begin with was controversial. Clemson struggled in Dabo's 3rd year and got blown out in the Orange Bowl in his 4th year, but living here in Clemson country I don't ever remember a time when the fan base or administration was the least bit negative about Dabo and he's had them in a bowl game every year since he took over. All that said, there is no question but that Chad Morris helped elevate them to a National Championship contender

I think when Georgia Tech beat Cumberland 222-0 that Cumberland May have been a worse statistical program than SMU. At least for a while.

But we were very close at one point during JJ's final year to establishing the all-time worst average margin of defeat. I seem to remember after about 9 games we were right there!
