MM1965, Will do as soon as I get to the area. I don't know if I will make it next summer, but I should next summer (My internship at the National Archives removes most of my life this time out). It would be nice to see SMU and KSU schedule one another. A lot of 'Cat alums in the Metroplex probably would like to see a game there. Plus, the vast majority of fans really loved Bennett.

Take Care,
Sam S.

Someone needs to contact In-N-Out about opening a franchise here in Dallas. I would be there twice a week ordering a double-double (animal style) with fries....best fast food burger EVER! It's one of the greatest things about So Cal.

With regards to the BBQ comment earlier, you have to stop by Holy Smokes BBQ. Outstanding BBQ and SMU supporters.

Probably closed on the 4th... I have not called yet: DAVID'S Bar-B-Que... he is a nephew of Red Bryan... many of you long-time Dallasites knew him. David's is just beyond the outfield wall of UTA's baseball field on Park Row. Best around, guaranteed. After Sonny's got bought-out, they quit serving bar-b-que. It is roast with bar-b-que sauce. The only thing that vaguely resembles Sonny Bryan's is the name. Whata shame.
As far as burgers... Ah, Cheesecake Factory... my first there. Sensational!
Enjoy the 4th, wherever you eat!!!

I ate at Snuffer's in Preston Center the other day. One word: AWFUL! The waitress got ALL of our orders TOTALLY wrong! (And didn't seem fazed by the fact that she screwed up..."I'm sorry."..that was it!) The burgers were poorly prepared. (I won't go into details) And the atmosphere was like being in a kindergarten class! TOO MANY KIDS! And my guests and I couldn't even talk to each other over the noise of the TV's and the music, even though we were sitting at a booth not more than three feet from each other. Sorry, folks. Snuffer's didn't cut the mustard with me. I will not return.

SNOOKIE'S STILL GETS THE NOD!

For my money, the top three will always be Uptown, First & 10 and Snookie's. Can't go wrong with any of them.
And Fuddrucker's is a close fourth.

Yeah, sort of like Houston is close to Dallas. OK, OK...you said "for your money" and that's fine, but for MY money I would take Campisi's and Rose's over Fuddrucker's any day.

First, PK, if you go to Campisi's, enjoy their pizza - the burgers are mediocre. Not awful, but nowhere near the Fuddrucker's burgers.

More importantly, someone told me this morning that Tipperary Inn is closed until Aug. 1. Does anyone know why?

Agreed. Snuffer's in Preston Center is awful. Stick to Greenville location. Kinda like Daddy Jack's... if you don't go to the Greenville or Throckmorton locations, you're in for a big disappointment.

I cannot believe that this thread has been going on now for more than a year ! ! ! A great burger in Dallas can be found at Gazeebo Burgers, Preston Rd @ Royal Lane, SW Corner, where the white gazeebo sticks out into the parking lot. They will cook them how you like them and the bun is what sets these burgers apart. This is really not far from the campus, just the other direction !

I drive through that intersection all the time and I guess I never paid attention. Gonna try it out at lunch today!!! Thanks!
