As I understand his contract he has one more year and there is apparently not buy out. SMU simply does not have the resources to pay him next year and bring in another coach at a comparable salary. The decision is made even tougher when the team wins 5,6 or 7 games and goes to a phony bowl game.

I concur. Our last 2 recruiting classes and our prospective 2014 class or undistinguished at best. We simply cannot compete with out bigger and better athletes. In addition, this staff does not seem to understand that it is all about lin men on both side of the line. We are overwhelmed with receivers and line backers and no linemen.
