EMan will be here next and and we have 1 more scholarship to give. I still think we need a shooter/scorer.

I doubt Brown is upset we pressed the advantage-I bet he's upset we didn't execute the break with better passing near the basket

Dealing with the press is more than just getting it past half court. Again, I don't believe we lose the lead if they had backed off.

on the second turnover Manual had Shawn Williams standing 2 feet from goal all by himself-should have been easy basket. The first one is more debatable. The 2 turnovers came with SMU up 4-on prior play Minnesota's guard blew by 3 defenders for layup and foul

The charge hurt as well. But enough about Ryan. Need to focus on next year.

No he was really pissed at Manuel for his carelessness. Spoke with a friend who was next to the bench and could hear everything LB was saying.

He was also very mad at the refs....

I guess the politically correct post is I won't point fingers. The reality though is Manuel was the difference in the game. Up 7 with about 4 minutes and he tried to make another ESPN highlight by driving for the slam. But then to do the very same thing on the very next possession? Inexcusable. I hope he feels this. He is a good player. Hopefully, this will make him better next year when it really counts.

I think people are looking at this the wrong way. The NIT Championship means nothing, literally. The thing is, the team got X extra practices and 5 extra games and those are going to go a long way next year. That's absolutely huge. I wouldn't be depressed, nothing to hang heads about, it was a great season and setting up next year very nicely. Might as well go get drunk and have some fun, Minnesota will barely get a mention on Sports Center. I'm just glad the team put together a run and maximized their postseason # of games they could have played along with practices.

If you think people on here are depressed (which I am not seeing after several years of reading this board), you apparently have never read our FB board after a JJ fiasco on the field. :D

It meant something to us. Also we got a lot of mention on Sportscenter as well as local news. Ryan's dunk made SCTop10.

Well, there's much brighter days ahead. I'm excited for next year. Going to be a really legit team that the talent alone should keep them from losing to the Houston's of the world. Going to be one heck of a ride, I'm just saying might as well enjoy the night and realize how good the season was. Last year at this time, they were 15-17 and the season ended 3 weeks ago...

In the grand scheme, I don't give a flip that we lost the NIT championship game. Sure, it would have been a nice building block. But I'm not losing sleep over it. Looking ahead is where everybody should be with thing. We have an elite guard coming to town.

What would mean more is if we win the AAC regular season or AAC tournament championships. That's big time.
