I don't think people appreciate how genuinely good our boosters are, and I don't mean that from a 'paying players' standpoint.
Our Athletic budget is $79M, but the AAC only provides 8M or so. Compare this to, say, Kansas State that has a budge of around $84M with a conference payout of around $47M. Taking into consideration everything from ticket sales, bowl and NCAA tourney revenue, (which will dwarf ours) to even possible tax subsidies you start to understand our boosters have had to do ALL the heavy lifting.
Say whatever you want about our boosters, they have kept us afloat and even competitive.

I sure hope that the 11 am kickoff does not prohibit the students from showing up on time. In fact, with the end zone project, where are the students even being seated this year?
Saving grace is that we are not playing Abilene Christian or a total scrub with no draw. I think there will be a good contingent of La Tech fans that may show up with their early season 1-0 optimism.
SDSU drew an announced 23,867 to their stadium that has a reported 35,000 capacity so SMU would have to draw about 22k to compare favorably in our home opener. I doubt La Tech brings more than 1,000 given the fact this game will be televised on ESPNU and played in temperatures well over 100 degrees on the field so yes, I would expect the usual criticism about our (lack of) attendance

I do not think this can be overstated - the amount of giving is widely impressive.

I don't know of any report that a meeting was planned on Tuesday night. The UNC president was still appearing on different media outlets discussing the shooting, campus safety, etc. They shut down the campus on Tuesday.
Topper- that comment was made more than once by Dan Wetzel (ap?) of Yahoo Sports.

Late Monday night Wetzel speculated that there might be a vote on Tuesday night but I never saw where he or anyone else reported that a Tuesday meeting was actually scheduled.

Tony K. and Wilbon were columnists at the Washington Post. After the Caps had another first round playoff exit, Tony wrote the infamous ΓÇ£Incredible choking DogsΓÇ¥ column. So I have been a fan ever since.

Interesting explanation of all the moving pieces from an FSU perspective. It may not be 100% accurate, but good explanation of some of the issues at play.

If this was posted previously, I apologize.

And yes, ESPN posted the "alleged" Friday morning meeting (Sep 1, 2023) to discuss expansion. I have shared my thoughts previously on the relevance of this by ESPN posting it on their front page.

I am ready for it to be over. I get too easily triggered by ignorant trolls on social media. I need to focus on work, yet every bit of news turns into several minutes of reading and few angry social media responses.
I want to focus on FB!

It doesn’t look like this is going to turn out well tomorrow. North Carolina is a hard ΓÇ£noΓÇ¥ vote.
I can’t imagine NC State goes against UNC. So it comes down to whether Clemson and Florida State vote ΓÇ£yesΓÇ¥ which I would find hard to believe.

Didn’t the ACC commissioner say he wouldn’t bring this to a vote unless he had a positive outcome? Granted I’m not following this as closely as the rest of you.
