At least we won't have to worry about him raining in three's on us.

Watched all of that Houston and Cincy game, both of those teams are going to be tough. Houston was a bit off, shooting wise for most of the game, but you can tell they could beat anyone in the league on any given night.

Cincy looked really strong without many weaknesses. One thing in our favor is that they don't rely heavily on the three ball, they like to get the ball inside. SMU needs to relentlessly drive to the basket and try and get their bigs in foul trouble. Also will probably need to play zone quite a bit to stay out of foul trouble ourselves.

Hopefully SMU plays well Thursday and can make a game of it with a chance to win at the end.

Houston, however, is also going to be dangerous this year and they always seem to trip us up.

i wouldn't go zone on these guys for the majority. You play them man and win or lose, but zone will concede the game in their place.

Can see switching it in and out a bit to keep them off pace, but all zone is not our deal.

I'd tend to agree. That 1-3-1 can be beaten back door/alley oop. They can do that. Alot.

I think we see some zone but only quickly for a change of look. Mic will have them ready.

When Houston hits threes, which they are tonight, they are really tough. Gray might be the best scorer in our league.

Four guards in double figures. Brooks, VanBeck and Dotson all shot lights out. They'll not have it as easy against our defense but they will be tough.
