MM65, I'm afraid it's you who must be kidding. Burger House is all hype, and I realize it's a hotspot for Highland Park HS kids, but that doesn't make it good (the argument could be made the the presence of a bunch of kids actually makes it worse .... but I digress.) The burgers SMU serves in the cafeteria are significantly better than what they offer at Burger House. Methinks the Burger Boys were right to leave that place off the list.

worse than umphrey lee? that's a bit harsh.... Burger House at least has flavor. It may not be the best, but it is definantly decent.

Anyone a fan of Keller's on NW Hwy?

Hey - I remember Keller's! By that old Firestone (if it still exists), right? That place was cool. Burgers were greasy as hell, as I recall, but really good. Good place to hang out, and quite tasty.

SMU Guy: My choice of BH has NOTHING to do with its clientele. In fact, on any given day I see more SMU students and local businessmen in there than HP students. And, if you want to go the route of kids making a location worse, my experience at Snooker's was the worst of the bunch because of a bunch of rug rats and carpet crawlers...but I digress, too. My choice of BH was strictly based on the flavor and quality of the burgers (special sauces) and the FF ain't bad, either! I stand by my decision.

I have been to the BH on Mockingbird many times and I've never seen any HP kids??? While its not the best burger in Dallas, BH does have a good burger and great fries.

The one in Old Town Shopping Center, on Greenville (just north of Lovers Lane). Come to think of it, I haven't been there in a while. Another visit is now on my "To Do" list (if I had such a list, that is).

(And not that anyone asked, but I'll have to side with SMUguy on Burger House. I was never impressed by that place.)

I drove through Carrollton today and saw a place called Big Tex (I think) which claims to have "the best burger in Texas." Skeptic that I am, I drove by. Anyone ever been there?

Hey Burger Boys, have you ever been to Purdy's Very good burger - I'm there once every couple of weeks. I'd be interested in your scientific analysis.

Scotty P's in Allen of McDermott.

Great burger, good service, nice county large onion rings.

Isn't that on Walnut Hill in Irving?

btw, next time you're on I20 going east, try Dairy Palace in Canton.

There's one on Belt Line in Addison - I think the intersection is with Addison Road. Great burger. Absolutely great. Sort of like Joe Willy's, where you add your own fixings. Give it a shot.

For what it's worth, High Point (Greenville Ave.) makes one sensational burger. Similar to First & 10, but not identical. Sensational stuff.

It smells a little smoky/funky in there, but they do make a mean burger.

High Point wasn't on the original list? A glaring ommission!
