It sure is nice to watch our team go on the road and control the game from the opening tip. We played at our pace, completely disrupted their offense and stayed disciplined when we had the ball. Solid play from start to finish for an outstanding road victory.

Go Santa Clara. I want another home game.

yeah, you'll be glad to know i read and got the personal jab. It was a nice win tonight. I hope we get another home game. The Rice loss was still a really bad one, sorry it was. You should also admit that UNI lost one of their best players to injury in February and basically collapsed down the stretch. Still a good win for us on the road. did you hear that? A good win. But if you are going to try to insult someones opinions about Rice etc., don't list UNI's preseason record and suggest they are the same team now after a key injury.

You of all people know that injuries are part of the game. Programs go through it. I watched it first hand with Minnesota when Al Nolen broke his foot in January and never came back. The Gophers collapsed. But I was still ticked because they should have been talented enough to get into the NCAA -- not lose their last 8 or whatever it was.

UNI just drilled Rider by 34 points in the first round, had about a week to prepare, had the homecourt advantage and had everything going for it to win this game.

Does SMU have to apologize for fielding a full roster -- a roster in which many of us have said is about 1 or 2 players and 6 others named Herb?

Face it, SMU played good defense and no one had an answer for Dia.

You're just going to have to suck it up and deal with the fact this team is playing on Friday.

Not a personal jab, just using your repeated argument as an example of what the detractors would say. I sincerely apologize if you took personal offense as it was meant in jest. I vehemently disagree with you in terms of my appreciation for this season, but that does not mean we shouldn't all be able to get along. For the record I have not mentioned UNI's preseason record, but will say that you can only beat whoever lands on your schedule and this team is doing just that.

Come on Hoop Fan, that is just sour grapes...be excited about what we have done. This is the most exciting season we have had in a decade...just lose the hate and enjoy it!!!
