I'm not convinced that's how the college game works though. A lot of the close games I've seen the last few years have seen big shots hit from 3 after a dribble drive forced the defense to collapse not only from isolation. I agree we don't have the shabazz Napier, Russ smith type on our roster though.

Question though - who is that guy on Cincy? Shamet might be that guy on WSU but not convinced Cincy has what you're describing.

best college football team in the state which tells you something about the state of college football in Texas, doesn't it?

It only tells you something about the state of college football in Texas if your baseline assumption is that the big public schools must be good and the small privates must be bad. TCU is objectively good without having to read anything into it.

When a Texas Tech (a school that has had plenty of success in basketball but certainly not at a national championship level) can go win on the road at blue blood Kansas...and when TCU and SMU and Baylor can compete with Top 10 programs, it tells you college basketball has come a long ways in Texas. Now, on the other hand...which was the last Texas school to qualify for the Final Four Football Playoff? Once upon a time, Texas would have a reserved seat at that table. Not denying the fact that TCU football has improved tremendously, but let's revisit this topic when the Frogs go on the road and beat Alabama. If they could have beaten Oklahoma at least once this year, I would concede but my whole point is that college hoops in Texas has improved considerably whereas football has fallen off a little

Actually I was referring to the hoops....that bench of Ngoi and Hamdy? EXACTLY what we need.
Those two are money now.

Basketball and football are like apples to zebras comparisons but if you had a top 4 playoff in basketball you wouldn't have any Texas teams either right now

going to 2nd OT--only 1 total basket from field between both teams in first OT. Awful mausoleum type atmosphere-nap inducing

It is terrible what UConn has become. Ollie has to go, now.

It would be nice if spanking them in Storrs this month was the last straw.
