Their burgers are great, and they make some strong drinks (or so I'm told). I have vague (very vague) recollections of a few evenings there, enjoying a burger and too many drinks.

I actually had a great burger at Dave & Busters the other day. It was quite a surprise! Juicy and medium rare. Then again this experience occurred during happy hour and I had a few Absolute & tonics in me. My judgement may have been a little blurred. Great happy hour though, pretty much $2 you call it.

There is a Cheeburger Cheeburger (we're on a roll) opening in Inwood Village across from Lovers Egg Roll. Anybody know anything about it?

Never heard of it. Is that part of a chain?

(And did you really mean "we're on a roll" -- like a hamburger roll/bun? That's bad....)

Consider yourself fortunate! (Hope you also bought a lottery ticket that day.) I've always thought D&B's burgers were tolerable, but never anything extraordinary. Startlingly average. (Of course, after spending 6 hours at happy hour, it's easy to have one - or three.)

Anyone ever try Skoot's Burgers in Richardson? I've never been, but a guy in my office eats there 2 or 3 times a week. Thought that maybe the Burger Crew could shed some light.

I ate there at least once a week all through the spring. The burger is average at best, and over priced, but well worth it on bikini-top tuesday.

Woah! Is that all day Tuesday, or just around happy hour, etc.?
Where is this place?

It's just north of 635 on 75, by razzoos, bone daddy's, and the movie theater. I only ever went around lunch time (11 - 1 range) but I would imagine they do it all day, since they were always had about double business on tuesdays. And the waitresses were always very.....touchy feely....

Somehow I envision a massive invasion of PonyFans at that place. I might need to make a trip to Dallas just for lunch.

Any interest in this? How about before home games, the Burger Crew tastes and rates the burgers being cooked on the Boulevard (Greeks, alumn groups, etc.)? You could have an gameday burger champion. Think it's do-able?

Interesting idea there HorsePower...might have to haul us off in wheelbarrows after sampling that many burgers in one day. It's a concept worth discussing. We're getting together next week-end, perhaps we can throw the idea around and see what we come up with.

Ate there in Auburn, AL on a recommendation. Good burger and excellent shakes. Nice that you can pick the stuff you want on your burger.

Cheeburger Cheeburger

Normally, I hate chain restaurants. I always think better food can be found at places that are one-of-a-kind, or at least more interesting food. But I went today to have lunch with a friend and came across a burger that I'd like to get officially analyzed by the Burger Crew.

The Crew needs to head to Humperdink's and get "The Extreme Big D." First of all, it's huge, and based on the reports from those boys on all the burgers in town, they're capable of putting away some serious burgers. But when I ate it, it caught me by surprise by being REALLY good. Not the whole experience (you need a towel to soak up the grease that will run down your hands), but the flavor of the burger itself was amazing.

The rest of the experience was pretty average. The bun was bland, the fries were pretty weak. Dozens of TVs tuned to various games. A guy who looked like the illegitimate son of Col. Sanders guzzling a LOT of drinks by himself.

Round up the Burger Crew and see what you think. (They also had something called a "Kobe Beef Burger" that the waiter tried hard to push on us. He swears it's the "most tender" burger in Dallas. If you're into that kind of thing.)

Q is right - the big burger at Humperdink's is .... big. And it's greasy. And it's damn good.
