CBS Sports reporting Houston to play Fresno State in Hawaii Bowl
Those who complain about a problem are simply wasting time they could use to fix it.
Potential is nothing, performance is everything.

USF to Birmingham
Not sure why some of you would think North Texas would be in play for the Frisco Bowl. They wouldn't be last pick b/c they were in the CUSA title game.
Just follow Brett McMurphy on twitter. He has been nailing these for the last hour.

I don’t see this selection Sunday on any of the channels. Where is the best source?

Re: Bowl Projections
I'd rather play La Tech than N. Illinois. Tech will bring some fans and I always enjoyed playing them as members of CUSA. They could be a future non-conference opponent instead of the FCS programs we have been playing, but La Tech would require home/home which makes it difficult to schedule games like Michigan who will not give us a return visit. Those are the years in which you have to schedule FCS teams to balance the home/road schedules. This year was unusual with 7 home games and was designed to get this team into a bowl game in year 3 of Chad's program.

Memphis to the Liberty v Iowa State
SMU is the only AAC team w/o a bowl opponent as of this time.

Re: Bowl Projections
So 4 of our teams are playing P5 opponents, 1 against the MWC, 1 CUSA. Not a bad lineup for our conference. I am very curious to see who we will play.
Re: Bowl Projections
La Tech will probably be the best opponent in terms of combined winnability and respect gained. While La Tech isn't great this year they are at least one of the G5s known to occasionally make noise. They'll bring fans too so it won't look empty for TV viewers.

That is a good thing as FAU will likely win their bowl game.
Re: Bowl Projections
Northern Illinois is playing Duke.

They get Akron now so they will likely roll.
Temple now has FIU in the Gasparilla (which is in Saint Pete)
Re: Bowl Projections
I am very jealous of Southern Miss playing Florida State in the Independence Bowl. I wish that was us.
