He also said, that if you watched the Aggie game that it was closer than score indicated! I like the play by play not so much the color guy.

Just goes to show you that they did not understand anything about the game. They failed to understand that Sumlin pulled the entire firsts offensive team after the first series in the 3d quarter and played the rest of the quarter with the 2d team and Joeckle at QB. Then TAMU played their 3d QB with their 3 and 4th lines the entire 4th quarter.

They may not understand the game but they understand what to say to keep an uniformed audience watching. If they had said SMU should have lost by 70 to A&M, many might have switched to another game.

Had to watch the 1st half on a delay, so just got caught up. What are most people's thoughts so far?

-Offense looks like it's working as well as I've seen it in the past 5 years EXCEPT for our offense inside the 10 which is awful. Why can't we punch it in? (Give the ball to KC!!)

-Offensive line looks like they are giving gilbert some great time. Missing some blocks that are resulting in several sacks recently, but he's also getting a good pocket at least most of the time.

-Defensive line doing a nice job putting pressure on the QB.

-Also, thought the stat about 16-0 (or whatever) when we score first, and 0-18 (or whatever) when not scoring first, was pretty telling, and something that everyone here is not too surprised by. Don't know what the reason for it is, but certainly seems like we cannot play from behind. Gotta stay ahead of TCU in early 3rd q.

-These announcers are complete bozos.

-If we weren't making some major, very costly mistakes, we'd be up big in this game. I think we look great except for a few select major mistakes.

Our defense is playing lights out. TCU is covering those short routes really well, so the only way to beat that is to take some more deep shots, some misdirection/play action and then RUN the ball RIGHT at them (with Nlemchi).

I don't think we can expect our defense to keep this up through the end of the game (see TTU - although TTU is a much team than this TCU team in my opinion - better schemes/better coaching), so we need another turnover (or 2) and our offense has GOT to pick up some first downs and a TD or 2 to keep us in it.

Oh, yeah, and eliminate the dumb [deleted] penalties.

As Joey Harrington said, this is what separates the good teams from the average teams. We CAN be a good team, but we're killing ourselves. Good thing it's still the preseason so we can iron out some of these things before our real season starts.

The good news is that we scored FIRST!! :-)

Going to be interesting to see which coach makes the best halftime adjustments. I have my belief as to who it might be.

pass blocking is ok, run blocking is terrible. I feel good giving Darius Joseph a ton of short catches and lets see what he can do. Like his swagger.

49 yards if you count the difference on the re-kick. We gave them half of the field.

We just need to stop getting in our own way.
