This #3 RPI is worth savoring for the moment. Just because of the way the formula works, it will drop after the USF game, and even if the team continues to win every game, the RPI probably won’t be this high again until much later in the season (say mid-February).

The 7 point drop South Florida gave us is unfortunately just the beginning. We have them once more plus UCF once and both Tulane and East Carolina twice, so expect more RPI damage in the future.
