carmouche is a linebacker - he doesn't run like a running back. Put in Thomas, It is not an injury that is keeping him off the field.
Re: OFFICIAL GAME 6 THREAD: SMU vs. TULSA
OL is beat to hell and you keep trying to run up the middle on short yardage?
Re: OFFICIAL GAME 6 THREAD: SMU vs. TULSA
No need to burn the Thomas redshirt in a year in which we are probably not going to a bowl game.

I totally agree on the BS 3rd and 2-4 run up the middle with a small RB and a beat up OL.
That to me is a joke. Even if you catch them off guard we don't have the push or the RB muscle to break it for the first down.
I disagree on the OT call. Gotta send it to OT because you never know what will happen. We just don't have the experience or depth to win close games.
But my gosh we sure look better than Temple. We actually look like we give a damn.

Disappointed we lost but happy with the effort and performance overall. I thought we'd get steamrolled coming off that Temple game.
Was happy to see the improved performance of Hicks.

we need to win some games to keep our recruiting mo. No need to hold back a guy can that win you a couple when we can replace him in three years easily if we have some success now. Stall out and we are in big trouble. we need more success this year than people realize.

This. And with our lightest RB.
Long live Inez Perez!

We have a good class coming in so no need to do things out of desperation.

Also I would have never sent this to OT, 'or enough faith in the team nor on the road game. You are so close: do slant route to Sutton (the only one that can catch) and we could have won. I was already getting the Balcones Single Malt whiskey when I saw the FG unit out.
While Tulsa defense isn't good, I have to credit where credit is due: Ben Hicks looked better than before and had better reads except toward the end where we got lucky.
100% agree.
Add in some unforgivable drop by our receivers that cost us in important points in the game.
I think we should have been going for a TD. Just didn't feel like we would win in OT. Wasn't really surprised by the ultimate outcome given or failures in the red zone.

This is a 3-9 to 4-8 year. Team just proved they are talented to play anyone. They're just too young.

ok - did not know about the shoulder injury. That explains it, I would guess he would have been in there by now.
have we ever had a team with this many injuries this early in the season?
