Ch. 4 had USA Today's bracket person on and said we're a 7 seed, maybe an 8. Says if we lose first aac tournament game he'd drop us to 9.

That's absurd.

We really need to face and beat Cincy in the AAC finals to get another high-quality win.

We also need Houston to play a close game vs Cincy and hope they finish in the top 50 in RPI.

Cincy a 5 seed but we're a 7 seed?
And Duke a 3 seed?
What.

You are just fooling yourself if you don't admit that a pretty good argument can be made that we haven't beaten anyone and that the NCAA is likely going to punish us for that-even if its not within our control. Satisfaction is proving them wrong-but its coming next week. Beating Cincy a 2nd time in finals will help a little. We aren't getting put in a Bracket according to out Top 25 ranking. The downgrade will be significant

margin of victory/loss does not factor into RPI.

This. Just win and the rest is our of our control

Bottom line is that we did poorly in the early season non-conference schedule and the AAC just didn't have enough quality wins to warrant respect for the conference. Temple probably performed as well as anyone with their wins against FSU and WVU but of course the committee will see that as "early season" flukes, unlike our losing to Michigan, Boise and USC. Maybe they set us up with a rematch against either Michigan or USC?

I'd love to play USC again. No thanks for Mich rematch. I have a bad feeling somehow we will be pitted against Wich St or some BS better than a double digit seed team.

We've hashed this out elsewhere, but we can't face USC until (at least) the second round because we faced them earlier this year.

Do you think he meant South Carolina?
