Tulane is actually pretty decent, the problem is they are perceived as being bad. As a whole the AAC is pretty strong this year but the perception of the conference doesn’t help and hate fact that there are a lot of teams scrambled in the middle and knocking each other off will hurt the chances of getting 3-4 bids.
Re: OOC Opponents and other AAC games
The committee is more metrics driven then ever, so we'll just have to see how much that "perception" plays into things in March. With that said, Tulane is 128 in KenPom this morning, so they still aren't getting much love from the computers (Northern Iowa, with all of their struggles, is 125 for comparison).

42-28 Houston before an embarrassing crowd. 18 minutes left

Well after SMU beat them they probably would have dropped down to about 16 or 17 if Houston beats them it's possible they can fall out. Were the proverbial top 25 killer
Re: OOC Opponents and other AAC games
Houston seems to have a pretty decent team as well. Although I think WSU is more physical on the boards, Houston is shooting pretty well today. AAC is a good hoops conference. SMU has to take one game at a time. Beat Tulane.

Wichita St not performing like they thought they would in conference play. Kinda funny.

But the Wichita St message board is pretty funny. Always in full meltdown.

SMU put the funk on them--we beat them despite them playing at a high level. Today they haven't played well at all.

Re: OOC Opponents and other AAC games
I think they may have watched the SMU tape Houston's going to beat them.
Re: OOC Opponents and other AAC games
Apparently tacko fall has had shoulder surgery and is done for the year. Makes that game much different.
