Boy, didn't TCU look good getting there [deleted] whipped by Tech.

Right. We hung in there with Tech, and then got smoked by the damn froggies. The fact that Tech then blasted the damn froggies does lend credence to the "any given Saturday" theory. Are we as talented and deep as those teams? No -- or at least not yet. But it does validate the idea that if things go your way (catching a team with new players at key positions, well-placed injuries, a couple turnovers that go the right way, etc.), it's possible. Likely? No -- in Vegas, we'll certainly be underdogs again in most, if not all games this year. But on paper, there was no way Troy State should have beaten Mizzou last year, either. Call me crazy, but being a "glass half full" fan is a lot more fun than the other way around.

You're crazy. Unless you're talking about a glass half full of beer on the 'vard...then I suggest you fill it all the way to the top because that's the most fun.

The ‘glass half full’ theory applies when there is a 50/50 chance of achievement.

We have averaged less than 3 wins per season for the past 16 years.

always fun to bump one of these old threads up again this time of year. I miss Old Pony and his tongue in cheek 12-0 prediction for 2005. I still have hope for my 3-4 wins prediction, but looking back I see I wasn't very insightful as to how it might come about.
