Hutto broke the 40 point mark for the 4th time in 4 games with a 44-13 victory over Rockdale. Hopefully, Lee Gonzales is a big part of this scoring machine.

I think I saw Gonzalez at the game yesterday. Good looking kid. Hope he plays like he looks.

It was Hutto's Homecoming, too. There was a tragedy during the Homecoming parade when a female student was run over and killed by a truck pulling one of the floats.

The Hutto Hippos remain undefeated in District 19-3A with a 20-12 decision over the Giddings Buffaloes.

Jeremy Kerley's second touchdown pass of the game — a 12-yard throw to Kyle Knapp with three minutes to play — provided insurance points for Hutto on Friday night as the Hippos remained deadlocked for the District 19-3A lead with a road victory over Giddings.

Kerley hit Dominique Phelps with a 30-yard touchdown pass and ran for the Hippos' other score, helping the winners post 255 yards of total offense. Hutto improved to 8-1 overall and 6-0 in district play.

Brock Fitzhenry paced Giddings (7-2, 4-2) with 122 rushing yards and a touchdown, passing 28 yards to Joel Green for the Buffaloes' other touchdown.
