I started walking on The Green and took about five steps. I turned around, told my father there was no way I was going to Dartmouth. He asks why. I said, "Dad, look around. Every girl here is butt ugly. There is no way I am going here." He didn't say a word then or since.

Glad I was so shallow in my decision making process (Married a very good looking gal though she didn’t go to SMU). I got a BFA from SMU (broadcast/film). I had no idea what I would major in when I started SMU. I got a MD from LSUMC-Shreveport and a MBA from Centenary College.

Funny...my brother granulated from Dartmouth, as did his wife..she is a nice looking lady. Their wedding was populated with Dartmouth types...I remember my sister-in-laws Dartmouth girl friends to be hot.

About Brown..while on my visit, the golf coach set me up with a date...Monica was fine, I will nevr forget her.....

While the SMU babes were hot in my day, found many of them to be East Texas, clean cut, straight as an arrow, and that is "ok"....

BEAT HU!!

1) SMU
2) UF

Only two applied at. I was accepted to both, but SMU was my first choice by a long shot.

SMU was my 1st choice. My second was one not too many people know about...Springfield College in Springfield, Mass A school well known in the NE for producing PE teachers/coaches. Took the business major route over a coaching career.

A distant 3rd choice was The State University of NY at Plattsburg - golf scholarship. Did well in a Jaycees Tourney my senior year in H.S. that the school hosted and "got noticed". You'd never know by my game today that I once carried a 2 handicap.

2. NYU
3. Texas
4. Colorado
5. Arizona State

Accepted into all. SMU offered me the best scholarship.

I am currently in application process (senior in HS)...no particular order to these schools...and yes, there are a lot, but that's more due to my parents wanting me to have a diverse selection of schools and scholarship opportunities than indecision by me.

SMU, TCU, Baylor, UT, Tech, Nebraska, Tulane, Notre Dame, Michigan, Miami (OH), Fordham, Richmond, Virginia, Penn

SMU, TCU (though after last week's visit to TCU...they took a big time step back for me), North Texas, Wisconsin-Madison, Webster University (St.Louis), Tyler JC for me.

Finance...with a Real Estate emphasis, where offered.

I will say this...I really like the Metroplex and think it's a great place for a school to be located. I guess that tells you a little about what schools I'm leaning towards :D

Just didn't like it. Wasn't what I expected it to be. It wasn't anything that anybody said or anything, although the admissions guy did take a stab at SMU when I told him I was interested in going to SMU also.

Just don't think it's the place for me basically.

I see; do you remember what the admissions guy looked like, or what position he was? Furthemore, what kind of 'stab?'
