Let's net this out, is the SMU Men's basketball program better today than it was when Tubbs was at the helm?

Well lets see, we have a new practice facility under construction, we will have a new floor in Moody this year, we got a new scoreboard and sound system last year, and we seem to be moving closer to starting the complete remodel of Moody. If the question is are our facilities better, then the answer is a resounding yes, but I give Orsine the credit for jumpstarting all of these improvements that have been talked about for years.

Do we have better coaches that can recruit better players that in turn will result in post season play? We will soon find out and I sure hope the answer is another yes.

P.S. None of the above has anything to do with the real truth about burgers and cheer. You can't "net that out" with out all of the facts.

Not that hard to figure out - they were getting tired of a coach that was not working all that hard and obviously taking us nowhere, and when he made small proven recruiting mistakes and larger rumored recruiting mistakes the school decided it was a good opportuntiy to make a change - fall on the sword for the small stuff and have no further action - and let the big stuff stay unsubstantiated so you cant get nailed for it. One mans gutless is another mans smart move.

Thank you for your opinion Jenni Carlson, but I'm gonna get the General to come over here and bust your chops for stating rumor as fact.

There is absolutely no evidence at this point in time that Tubbs made ANY major NCAA rules violations. None whatsoever. You guys really need to watch what you say here. I understand people add gossipy stuff here, but this is the kind of cr@p that leads to NCAA investigations and death penalties. So, if you DON'T REALLY KNOW, FROM REAL PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE, DON'T GO SAYING STUFF ABOUT BIGGER NCAA VIOLATIONS. There I saved the General a few keystrokes. There are Frog fans who read our board, Tech fans, UTEP fans, Rice fans, Arkansas State fans, UT fans, as well. THINK people!!!!

According to the report at the top of the thread, we were dealing with secondary, not major, violations as noted by the statement "The NCAA does not comment on secondary infractions." Now then, what the scope of violations are that fall under the "secondary" classification would be interesting to know. They still may be sufficient to warrant dismissal...or maybe not.
