You are so right. We complete passess, J-Wills pass completion rating this year and last shows that. We do not have the talent to do what we needs to be done after the catch. Both deeep balls Sat would have been
TD's for anyone else, and the one we dropped in the 4th. We can analize this all we want and point fingers where we want. We do not match up talent wise and we never will under the current system. PB is not the issue. Todays DMN sports article said it all. Two schools with two different visions.
I thought JW threw deep better than he has in awhile. And I will argue that we do have some talent to go deep, but our play calling is so damn predictable that you can't get the match-ups you want in critical situations.

he does more then that.. he is the most dedicated player i know that is on the team.

That's fine. I hope you read EVERYTHING. I have said this is not a Willis problem. This is a COACHING problem.
I posted about this issue a week or two ago. My biggest disappointment in this team isn't the win-loss record (although I am disappointed in it), but the way the talent on the team isn't performing up to its level. I have no fault with JW's passion and leadership. He's a superstar. But I don't see where the coaching staff is taking him to the next level. Yes, it is a team game, and there is a lot of fault to spread around. But I don't see the coaches taking our guys to the next level. There is overall talent on this team--not as good as many D1 programs--but better than we've had here in a while. But the coaches are not exploiting that talent.
That's what is most disturbing and frustrating about this team.
I don't want to see JW waste 4 years here. He's too good for that. We need good coaching that can help JW improve and make him the national-caliber player that he ought to be.
I know Justin and he is between 6 foot and 6'1. I am 5'11 and he is taller than me, and I know he is slightly taller than Chase Daniels from Mizzou who is listed at 6'0 and who has had early mention of being a possible Heisman candidate for next year.
Granted most NFL QB's are 6'3 are taller, the exceptions are Breez at 6 even, Kitna, Romo, and Warner are 6'2, and Grossman is 6'1 if you even consider him NFL talent.
If Willis improves he'd have a slight chance at making it in the NFL mainly because of his elusiveness and able to make some plays on the run, but I think he'll be more sought after as an arena league or CFL QB (too bad NFL Europe folded).
The arm strength is still a work in progress. You have to admit his arm has improved from last season thanks to Vic, and Justin just turned 20 last month so he's still maturing into what it takes to be a 1-A college QB, both physically and mentally.
I suggest some of you watch some more college football. Anybody that thinks Justin Willis has a strong arm needs to watch a lot more college football. He's a touch passer. He has a great deal of difficulty making a strong sideline pass. He is not a NFL prospect today and never will be.
If Antwan Randle El doesn't get a shot at QB, and guys like Isiah Stanback get moved to WR, Justins not going to have a shot either. Shorter quarterbacks with either anaccuracy/arm strength issues have a shot at playing D-1, but not the NFL. Period.
Well then...what about the CFL or Arena?
