Will Horshack, Boom Boom, Epstein and Barbarino be on his staff?

He may have thanked Orsini for the call, but Johnson turned the job down. He'll be at GaTech soon.
Dodge is simply waiting to hear back from administration if we can officially change the colors to green with black trim. If we can, he's our guy.
And my source is bigger than yours.

It would be fitting that SMU FB would hire a Coach named "Dirk", dressed sharply in his powder blue & kacky outfit for the Blvd...

the smu selection is down to two candidates, i think one has been left off of most conversation on this board. Johnson and O'Leary. OLeary is unhappy with the new AD and wants to leave...obvioulsy both have reasons to keep quiet (Navy plays army this week...C. Florida is up for conference championship). Neither coach wants the distraction.
Expect it to be one of the two.
I thought President Turner did not want to hire anyone with a past. Doesn't O'Leary have a past (lying on resume)? IMO I wouldn't mind O'Leary, but if you are going to take someone with a past you might as well get Barnett.

Darn, so now we have to wait for another 6 weeks at least? Great. At least we'll have the holidays and bowl season to tie us over til they reveal our new coach.

If team meeting information is correct and we are talking about a head coach with a game left this week end, it has to be Kragthorpe or Goerge O'Leary. Maybe Paul Johnson but some are saying he turned down SMU........My guess then, I hate to say, is that it has been Steve Kragthorpe all a long.

Way too much assuming being made that our next HC is currently a HC.

Also worth noting that Orsini never made the statement that we should expect a "WOW" hire. Some dumb website that nobody has heard of said that, and now everybody thinks when the new coach is hired, they're going to say "WOW." Funny how that works.

I think one of the criteria mentioned was D-I head coaching experience. Could be an ex-head coach who is now a coordinator.

There are about 6-8 NFL head coaches whose heads are on the chopping block. Marvin Lewis, Norv Turner, Cam Cameron, to name a few.

We need to track down the person who first said it, then if the new coach is not a "wow" hire by majority vote, we should lop off the head of that person.

Not that I am advocating him but that would throw Gary Crowton into the mix. IF Miles jumps to Michigan and Pelini goes to Nebraska Crowton may look for another HC shot rather than risk a new LSU HC dumping him for a new OC.

footballrumormill.com used "Wow." When the Kragthorpe name floated, the Coaching Carousel said "Orsini is after a bigger fish than that."
So they are both guilty.
