the ones that get me are the ones with handles like Jimmie2007, Billie2005, Tommie 2006 and Eddie 2008 who say "I'm done-I can't take anymore". I almost understand those that have watched for the last 20 years but seeing 100 fans in the Student Section in the last few years I doubt these guys have ever been "All in". Poor babies-you have had to endure so much pain and hardship during the last 3 years.

Maybe they are just aware that if they stick it out another 20, they will be old and embittered like you.

Brian Davis reports from College Station that former Texas A&M coach Dennis Franchione could receive $4.4 million over the next three years as part of his buyout settlement.
Stay tuned for more.

Fran lost to Miami early in the season on the road. Lost to Mizzou and Kansas, two very good teams and Tech which also knocked off OK and he ends the season beating Texas. It's not like he loses to Ark ST and N texas. This guy is plugged in to recruiting Texas and who knows maybe he could drag a few commits our way.

Where the hell did you come from? The Sudo evil Cash?

[b]This guy is plugged in to recruiting Texas and who knows maybe he could drag a few commits our way.[/quote]I don't believe he is going to drag any recruits away from a BCS school where they can play in front of 86k fans and some of the best facilities in the country.

I don't care for the guy but if he can get some 'W's under SMU's belt and a bowl game then I'll follow him thru the Gates of HeLL! And nothing would make me happier than to see him defeat the Aggie$ as HC at SMU!

I agree.
You know I was upset earlier in the day. But like I think Stallion said, sometimes the best coaches end up being the 3rd or 4th choice-see Pete Carroll. We may end up being happy we didn't end up with Johnson. With Fran, at least we hit the recruiting trail immediately and the man still won games at A&M-just not enough.
Spare me, all the "I'll never watch another game again." If one of the Manson family as coach got us an 8-4 season and accompanying bowl bid, we'd dance to the White Album in their honor..
