I just wanted you to get a clear understanding of the one team I would love to beat. Not sure I get the Aggie reference, since I have two degrees and my four children a total of six, all from SMU...I know everyone is just kidding around. But one of my best memories of the old Cotton Bowl was going with a close friend to the A&M game. They were favored and he was an alumn. On the way to the game we made a friendly bet. His wife blurts out that he had been an Aggie yell leader and graduated two years before me. We of course all get on him, and told him that we could always tell an Aggie by the touthpick in his mouth and his pimpled high school girlfriend. Sure enough as we get out of the car a member of the corp hops out of his car with a toothpick and a pleasantly plump, pimpled high school girlfriend. We doubled our bet, and Oscar Roan preceeds to score twice to beat the Aggies.

I am old. I live in the past. Whatever...my memory is still scarred by seeing Mike Ford walking out of the locker room in tears at that dump of a facility in Waco because of a fumbled snap, and knowing there was a LONG ride back to Dallas. A long, souless night.

I look forward to SMU beating/competing again with teams of relevance.

Interesting, if we could beat one team a year, it would be Texas, I would be happy. I graduated in the late sixties.

Why is it that so many posters have listed Houston? What years were you in school?
