Petty is signing with Baylor tomorrow. I didn't think we were gonna give a ship to him, but apparently so. I thought he was looking at a D1-AA school or UNT.

Apparently we called after that and asked him to sign with us tomorrow as an ATH (not QB) and he said he would. So i'm unsure if the trip to VaTech will still happen.

Arkansas just went sour on him even after the decommitt of another QB. Guess they feel strong for the future with Mallett, Wilson, et al.

I did check with the Fayettville division of the WDNWHA Association and they are adament that they did not want Petty.....anyway.

Petty will greyshirt and he thinks he will start in his redshirt sophomore year after Griffin graduates. He'll face stiff competition, but I hope he can progress well.

Petty was unsure of the Virginia Tech's commitment to a passing offense so he is going with the Bears.
