I wouldn't be surprised to see Tennesson keep his spot too. He's a RS Sophomore with Size and some talent. Hopefully he can perform well enough help some of the HSFR's from burning their redshirts.

I think for the first time in a while we will have depth at the linebacker position..this is a good thing as depth breeds competition and will push people. We have a lot of Linebackers and I am not really sure who is better than the next and am not even sure if they are ILB or OLB's. No one outside of Coulter and Odiari are the protptypical ILB size. With that being said...here is a list of linebackers who I think might compete for a starting job. I think a bunch of these guys will learn both inside and outside backer.
Pete Fleps (ILB or OLB)
Youri Yenga (OLB)
Victor Jones (ILB or OLB)
Julian Herron (OLB)
Andrew Ellison (OLB)
Patrick Flemming (OLB)
Chase Kennemer (ILB or OLB)
Justin Padron (ILB or OLB)
Alex Odiari (ILB)
Beck Coulter (ILB)
Ja'Gared Davis (OLB)
Robert Parker (OLB)
Zack Line (ILB or OLB)
Ryan Moczygemba (ILB or OLB)
Any thoughts or opinions on who will start or where these guys will play is appreciated...

No he's right, freshmen should not be allowed BS cocky nicknames until they earn them at the next level.

Certainly should have an upgrade in athleticism at LB. Just looking at their size, would guess Coulter (232) and Aaron Davis (245) would have a shot at ILB positions. Jones commented that Line reported at 235 so he could be one to watch. Plenty of 215-220 lb guys, with Fleps (220), Kennemer (215), Jason Jackson (220) and Moczygemba (215) the most experienced guys...being challenged by Victor Jones and of course, the experiment with finding Yenga's most effective spot on the field. We need more (closing) speed from this group. From his comments at the press conference, Jones seems to like some of the smaller guys coming in...because of their speed.
Competition for playing time should be fun to watch...possibly moreso at LB than with any other group.

So Justin Padron is not part of the team anymore due to health reasons. Alex Odiari and Julian Herron were cut. Quincy is transferring to Tx. State. I'm saying, what about kids like Jessie Andrews? Also, make some (potential) space for Bryce Hudman who is back working out with the team.
