All of these back and forth jib jabs are really pointless and wrong. If anything we should all embrace one another because we are close in proximity and in terms of athletics we can always feed off each other. BTW I am new here but I am sure you will see that my SN reflects my affiliation to UNT and I am a pretty regular poster on GMG.com. I look forward to having some good conversation with all of you on this board over time.

FWIW, SMU lost out on another pretty solid prospect today. The kid was one of the standouts @ the recent Elite Camp. If you have issues with UNT, wait till you hear where this former local HS player, now attending prep school went. Doh just ain't gettin it done.

It's not a miss if you don't offer. We never were close to offering Kager. I like the kid, but let's not make it like the staff is sweating his decision. Maybe they get something better, maybe they don't, but they passed on Kager after seeing him up close.

yea, not real impressed by Devonte Abron, nor was he very good this past Spring/Summer. He's a completely undersized 4, that has shown no ability to play the 3. Solid for Sun Belt, but he's Frank Otis in CUSA. Like Frank, he has a nice motor though. Also, don't come here w/Rivals star smack, cause that service is a joke in hoops. Best in football, worst in hoops.

He may not meet your (cough, cough) high standards, but he is good enough to have offers from Arkansas, A&M, Alabama and Houston.

He must be too stupid to get in anywhere else if he has UNT in the short list...

by that you mean he 'claims' offer from those schools. He doesn't have a ride to any of those, short of maybe houston. You really think A&M offered Abron over Jonathan Holmes or Antwan Space, get real. I'm sure Arkansas wants him w/a verbal from Hunter Mickelson, as well as being on the short list for Space. You serve up softball smack.

I am completely blown away by the arrogance that I am reading on this board. Listen to yourselves. Grown [deleted] people (presumably), acting like children. I made a huge mistake coming here and will not make the same mistake again. I am appalled. Good day.

Geez, It's a message board where the local schools fans are smack-talking back & forth. That's the beauty of college basketball. Get a thicker skin, we're all just having fun.

Of course you aren't impressed by him, you have no shot at him....
Nor do I want another undersized PF, we just ran one of those off. Abron is a good fit in the Sun Belt, cause his motor is non-stop. I like the kid, he's just not an elite talent like Jhub and others have suggested.
FWIW, I'm pretty sure there isn't an NTSU poster that can handle me. I eat brains

PonyDoh & I have discussed Abron several times. We both think he's a heck of a player.
The reality is he probably doesn't have the grades to get into SMU.
