This is starting to sound VERY bad.

Relax a bit ModelT, anything can happen in a blink of an eye. But at the same time, don't be surprised if not much happens with C-USA and we're left here for a few years. That's almost okay too. It will give us more time to build up our program, strengthen our recruiting, and get quite a bit of wins against this conference. If we continue in this trajectory we'll get our place in the big table eventually. It took TCU almost a decade, and even then they're still not there!

The question is whether OU can drop their hillbilly brothers. If they could, they might be candidates for the Big Ten. They are AAU, I think. I know Nebraska would love to have their rivalry game back with the Sooners. Unless UT makes a deal with OU, OU is going to not be a happy camper in the Big XII. An offer from the Big Ten, and they're gone. KU-OU to the Big Ten is not far fetched, if they can both dump their little brothers. UT could hold out for the LHN with the PAC 12 knowing that they were not real keen on adding TT and OSU. Thus, in this negotiation unless there is another suitor out there for OU, UT holds all the cards.

Oklahoma is not in the AAU.

What do you really think UT is going to do? Bow down and take it from OU? Texas has proven its not willing to do anything for anyone or anybody but Texas. These demands are not worth the paper they're printed on. Waste of time. Move on.

the big 12 is a very dysfunctional marriage. it can't last. ut can bully most of the schools.
why do you think nebraska and colorado left? everyone wants out. right now it is a marriage of convenience.
the pac 12 had a lhn and tech problem. they probably got their fill of ut in a big hurry with things got serious.
ou desperately wants out but has to carry okie state with them. makes it tough.
that conference is a mess.

Lawyers aside, why can't the rest of the conference simply out vote UT? If they plan on leaving, help them pack. Had they called their hand two years ago, A&M and Nebraska would still be part of the conference. As long as UT thinks their BEVOSHIT doesn't stink, they will be an impossible partner.
