K, just wanted to make sure I didn't miss it.

Should have the link soon - Monday probably. Thad sorry for the delay; reinforcements are on the way. Keep those creative juices flowing.

Dooby should be happy with the Kathy Bates appearance. If he puts in another $50 will Lauen Graham make a cameo?

Thanks for your efforts on the fund raising side of this project as well. It is obviously it going to take a grass roots project(video promotion, billboards) to get people excited and to get them familiar with what type of transformation is taking place on the Hilltop. The way I see it there is more passion going this route. The cash will start to roll in and SMU will eventually pick up on this and start marketing the program.

Marketing's everything, and as you all know, I didn't just sign up after we went back to a bowl game; but if PonyFans are being asked to donate to this, I expect Thad to be doing the same with his time and resources. Or is he making a profit?

Thad loves SMU - no profit and hardly enough to cover costs...

Thanks lwjr. That is definitely my thinking - there is something to be said for grassroots efforts; I have noticed a number of great ideas on the board and figured we need to act on them. This is a great place for guys to throw ideas and out of the box thinking to the benefit of the school. It also helps having talented guys like Thad on the board.

The other promotions are also no doubt helping the cause - 2ndandlong's Operation Sellout, and RGV/Giddyup's Billboard ca.mpaign and folks just inviting friends to games. We can all do our small part

I think we should offer free tickets and gift baskets for fans coming to home games from outside the state of Texas.

Just simple things. Maybe a tshirt, little plastic football, small megaphone with which to yell "down in front" at 94, a new car, and a puppy.

Thanks, GiddyUp!

The only "profit" I will be making is worth more than money. The knowledge that I have used my talents and connections to do something positive for something near and dear to my heart.

I will note, that if there is any money left over I might pay myself (what would amount to be pennies on the dollar as I assume it might be around five bucks). But as of right now, I doubt there will be and am actually expecting to be in the hole. Plus, I want to used whatever is left over for a series of in-game videos for the ath dept. to use or not use. (I suspect they'll want to use them.)
