Is this whole deal contingent on everyone accepting? Can't believe big east gets aq berth if Boise declines

One is wa-a-a-ay too many. Better to NOT play the attorney card and retain some credibility.

It's the Boise State show, the Big East needs their BCS points so if for some reason they decline SMU, UH and Air Force's invites will be revoked because without Boise State they don't need a Western bloc of travel partners. UCF has an unconditional invite so they can get in regardless of what Boise State decides to do.

UH oh. Lots of chatter about Boise making an official statement declining the invitation from the Big East.

we need to get Top 25 and stay there at the end of the season. SMU needs to put some BCS points in its back pocket and then we have more negotiating power no matter what moves get made. This whole thing is not over yet.

Then what will the BE do? I would take UH, SMU, and UCF and have Cuse and Pitt stay the 27 months and that gives you 11 teams for two years. Add one more if you want 12 and then when those two leave we see what happens.

I still believe this is posturing on the part of Boise. It's an AQ conference! Why the hell would they turn that down to stay non AQ where even if they go undefeated they will likely be shut out of the national title game?!

Not that I truly trust ESPN's reporting, but they way they are framing the story is that SMU, UH and UCF will essentially replace TCU, Syracuse and Pitt.
Then you have Boise and AFA and Navy "wavering."

Our offer will be taken away if Boise says no.

I am just a non-attorney spokesperson, who tries lawsuits for a hobby.

probably because the Big East is marginalized anyway and none of its teams are going to get the championship game anyway. Yes, they will get a spot in one of the 5 BCS games against the second place team from one of the Big4 leagues, but lets not kid ourselves that it makes Boise State a championship contender if they win the Big East. The SEC and Big10 are not gonna allow it. Boise has already been to BCS games, so they know it can be done through non-conference scheduling. Something about BCS access doesn't add up to me. BYU must know something.

2 problems with that: 1) with the auto-bid, you don't have to go undefeated like they would from a non-AQ conference. The Big East champ isn't even always ranked and still gets the auto-bid. 2) the money is way better in the AQ conference. yes, the bcs money is distributed across the conference more evenly, but you get it every year, not just in the years you happen to be the bcs buster. plus, the tv contract $ in the BE is better. It's not great, but the MWC revenue is terrible and doesn't have any relationship whatsoever with ESPN.
