Still trying to figure out the hotel situation. Not too worried as I figure there won't be that many people traveling to this one.

[quote="SMU_Alumni11"]Im pumped for this bowl, taken completely by surprise. Im looking for chain hotel, possibly best western. This is going to be a legit bowl. I hope we can at least get 20k people. Where is that marketing department lol. --> give it to top notch marketing majors as a final exam.

We can't get 20,000 in Ford!!!

Will be shocked if there's 5k at that bowl, to be honest.
Pitt has zero interest in being there and actively schemed to get out of that bowl slot, and SMU doesn't travel worth [deleted].

If neither team has much Interest in going why bother with it? Both teams should tell the bowl, thanks but we are staying home. No cents for the school to waste money they don't need to be spending.

I would punch you in the mouth for saying such heresy! :D All joking of course. Doesnt matter how bad attendance is, we get money, any tv rating is good. We get to play an old rival: 1983 Cotton bowl. Keep the traditions. Lets make the record 3-2-1!

I know one thing, the people that have been screaming for us to go to the Liberty Bowl instead of Hawaii, better be at this frikin' game! And we all know who you are.

Is the mustang club travel package worth doing? Seems double the cost of just independantly getting a reservation at that hotel.

Also, any chance the mustang club puts together a package that includes air?

Yes it is Epiphany Sunday but Bham is a 9 hour drive from Cinci so it is easy enough for me to be back late Saturday for worship Sunday morning....whether the sermon is good or sucks is another question.
