last year's BBVA Bowl required each time to sell 10,000.

Under their agreement with the Compass Bowl, each school is required to purchase 10,000 tickets to be resold to fans and alums at the face value cost of $50 a piece. However, current estimates indicate that the University of Pittsburgh reportedly has only managed to sell between 2,000 and 3,000 tickets, while the University of Kentucky has sold upwards of 4,000. Should either school be unable to sell their allotment of tickets, the school will be forced to eat the loss in profits.

Shouldn't be a problem for SMU. I remember a certain group of people screaming that we would take 10,000 to the Liberty Bowl.

Where are they now? No possible holiday conflict, easy travel, affordable as anywhere, interesting opponent.

Oh but the only part thats going to hurt is the fact we are so freaking greek that its during rush week and everyone in a fraternity or sorority must attend. Therefore that hurts their +1,2,3,4 friends and family who would of gone with them. The school should put a mandatory block on a selected range of days to free people up.

not talking about them. What about the legions who bemoaned Hawaii and claimed that we would sell out the liberty bowl and clog up I30 if only we would agree to go there instead?

Oh I was one of them, dont worry Im doing my part. Im pumped for this game. Im so glad we arent going to Hawaii, poor USM. Sadly I have a feeling either the announcers or some guest commentator is going to be like, "Im glad to see SMU is back from 2009..."

Flying in Friday night... Not sure on hotel as waiting to hear from buddies in charge of hotel... Hopefully the official team hotel ( I guess). Isn't that where all the partying will be taking place?

It was in Hawaii. Not sure I want to hang with all the PFers again after this week, though. Could get ugly.
