Klemm is the only one he needs right now anyway, the rest can stay and prepare the team for the beatdown they'll receive from Pitt in Boringham.

How much does Navy pay Kenny Niumatalolo? I don't know how good you think he is but I'll tell you his teams are disciplined, tackle well and play hard nosed football. Do you know WHY he plays you guys? to come down there into your city and recruit your kids that's why. And they have good records too. Remember Ricky Dobbs and the USNA vs Ohio State 2 or 3 years ago? when they almost pulled off an upset for the ages I think they lost by 3 in Columbus. With guys that are forced to meet the same height and weight standards as the rest of the Military. This years team was mediocre but South Carolina and old ball coach had to come back to win vs them.

He is a native Hawaaiin and doesn't wear a lei on the sideline. Just in case another Hawaii guy would be bad.

But maybe you guys need a coach from Texas, I don't know who the best guys are though. I'm sure you do.

actually none of our Coaches can go until end of the season/Bowl Game unless they are released by SMU. They are under contract. We are going to need at least 6 to stay for Bowl. Let Surfer Dude go now. I'll let them have Wes Saun too. ASU is going to love some of these lazy assed coaches

No to the triple-option.

Why? SMU is not UT, or Alabama. The triple option does the same thing that the run and shoot does. Take advantage of match ups. Only it's better for any conditions you might face, you're playing a road game in New Jersey at Rutgers it's windy and miserable and raining and terrible outside, you guy won't be able to air the ball out 50 times, you won't. Plain and simple. The Triple option is a far better fit for SMU than a pro style offense. Period. Tom Osbourne won a LOT of football games at Nebraska running an option offense.

We need to be thinking big-time, the spread is what pretty much everyone is running these days. The triple option is for service academies. The triple option was a cute idea for us in 2008, not now.

Have to agree with blue, but we can still find a mix playbook. We just need to make sure we have alot of running plays since we have a great RB, a promising RB. But then again we also still have some QBs to play, so its going to be tough.

On the coach note, Its not surprising JJ is leaving, because awhile back he said we were going to fall into a slump... I wonder if that mean, this is his last chance to bounce off and find another place and leave us to be slaughtered.

Multiple is fine, no full blown triple option though. We aren't a [deleted] service academy.

Yeah very true

And we might have to get Sherman, just give him a pay degrade for the [deleted] up he did at A&M this season. If he can bring in a strong recruiting class, then hes worth it. But he is also old, so it has to be a temporary position

Hybrid offense is working pretty good for my team. Spread option isn't the way to go either. I'm not saying you guys are gonna be able to pull in a Denard Robinson or Tommy Frazier to run the option but doing the same thing as everybody else is doing just won't work. YOU AREN'T the same as everybody else. The school I went to plays D2 football and is 4000 students bigger than SMU. Annapolis and West Point are BIGGER than SMU. Whoever you get he's gonna have to be a good enough coach to win with somebody elses kids and that ain't easy.

Unless we get a good coach soon, 2 people got really slapped in the face:

Fans and growing community

Players who wont be able to transfer. They signed up for a JJ team and bowl games a plenty.
