Agent on twitter, agent on the radio. If June is sincere, he'd fire this guy for going rouge. He hasnt because he wasn't going rouge, he did this with June's knowledge, and that's why June is insincere.

Jones has no press conferences. Even during the season. Not worth his time.

Woah. I always thought I lived in a town named after a scoundrel's stick.

After purposely avoiding this board nearly all day, then reading this statement and the quotes from the Birmingham press conference, I still want him gone.

I don't blame him for looking for another job. I don't blame him for interviewing & negotiating a contract with another school. What I have a problem with was him starting work for that school (and undermining SMU's efforts) while still an employee at SMU.

No statement released by Jones or the athletic department addresses this.

I know this: if I was working for Company A and was contacted by a headhunter regarding a better paying job for Company B, I wouldn't start working for Company B until my term of employment for Company B started (probably concurrent to the ending of my employment for Company A). I wouldn't do what June did, which was start working for Company B (AND AGAINST COMPANY A) the second he was offered an INTERVIEW (not even offer...INTERVIEW!) for Company B. If I did do that, I would expect company A to fire me if the offer with company B didn't turn out.

Exactly- and if I were your boss in company A you would have been walked out the door immediately.
I would have expected the same. The arrogance of jj and his agent is absolutely amazing.
No loyalty, no ethics, no integrity. Yet he continues here with the opportunity to further destroy this program further.

GO PONIES!!!
