what the hell does our footstaff think they're doing? this seems ridiculously unprofessional given where we are in the recruiting season.
i get that all coaches are basically free agents, but this behavior is unprofessional at best.
orsini needs to get his employees in line. who running this show?

I'd hate to see AK leave, but I'm glad we are in a position where other programs--better programs--want our coaches. That's a sign of our improvement and hopefully a problem we have to deal with for many years.

Nope on Klemm..agree he has options, but from close sources who know him well...he is staying. It could change of course, but he likes SMU and he has received a recent commitment from SMU is some way that I am not privy to.

True, and being able to handle it and bounce back quickly shows even bigger improvements as a program.

The true value of a program is not to have other programs taking our good coaches when they want to ( see all that Tulsa has gone through over the years as its just a stopping off point for coaches on their way up), but to have coaches that actually want to stay at SMU and continue to grow the program.

Coaches will always be poached. UT lost its HC in waiting to Florida, coaches will always leave, but programs like UT can replace them with top talent. True you want coaches to say, and it takes a lot more to get somebody to leave UT than it does SMU, but at some point money talks.
