Klemm will take the California recruits he wants. I would guess we might hold onto Huilick, Kache and the Minnesota kid because they might not be PAC quality. Not sure about Seaver Myers but our chances probably weren't helped

That said, keep in mind that UCLA already has a decent number of commitments.
Also keep in mind that for a lot of those kids, even though Klemm may have been their recruiting contact, he was not their position coach. So, the relationship with their future position coach will be important in us retaining their commitment.
We have the budget to make a good hire here. It will be interesting to see who we choose. I would think Larry Porter is going to be gobbled up as a RB coach somewhere, don't see why he would switch to OL.
Pat Hill was an OL coach before Fresno....
UCLA's class has a ton of lightweights in it, Mora will make room to bring in Klemm's Kalifornia Kabal plus other recruits that'll consider UCLA now that Klemm is on staff.

Not particularly, he already had a good job here.
UCLA will still be a doormat in the Pac12

Pac 12 doormat > Big East doormat

yeah but there are about 10 California kids that will give UCLA a big looking that just couldn't see going to SMU. Gotta remember Broussard is reportedly ready to steal ASU's best recruits if he goes to UCLA. ASU could get double-screwed. I wonder if the 97% anti-Jones sentiment still holds

Nope. Care about smu more than any individual. Really big blow for us. Hope we make a good hire.
We now have June and no klemm= worst possible outcome. This was clearly a done deal at least since monday

Let's try to find someone just as good or better.
This ... +1
That will not be easy to do. As I have stated before top 25 recruiters don;t just fall off trees. If that was the case every school would have one. If since all the other coaches that JJ has hired have not went after the same level of talent and been as successful as AK we will just have to see what he does. Hopefully lightening will strike twice.

Was just hired as well by UCLA.

Why do people go out of their way to say they are staying when they are about to leave? Do they just enjoy lying?

Maybe not, but there have to be at least 25 of them.

Agree. Just trying to be somewhere in between complete meltdown and saying this doesn't matter...lol

They have to, as last week's events with our HC demonstrate fairly clearly. Now had Klemm not sent out the idiotic first tweet intimating he was considering between SMU, ASU, and UCLA, then he wouldn't have had to send out the second one saying it was all a joke.
