From what I know about June Jones from his 9 years at Hawaii, he seems to get disinterested in his program after about 4 or 5 years in. He then looks at it as more of a job then something he enjoys doing. There were a couple times during his tenure at Hawaii where he was "burned-out" and was thinking of leaving. It took him hiring Jerry Glanville to re-spark his motivation and interest. Jerry make it fun for JJ again.

June goes thru these phases where he seems not to give a darn about things and needs a kick in his butt to get him going again. It may take a losing season or hiring a friend as an asst coach to get him going again.

If you really want to light a spark, have your media personnel question his Offensive system "his baby" and the lack it's output.

With his ego, he will never be an aggressive recruiter. He feels deep down inside that recruits (mainly WR's & QB's) should be coming to him begging to play in that great system of his instead of him having to go to them.

That's just the way he is. Either accept it or move on. He'll never change.

Everybody JJ hires is a friend. Called the "Rolodex System." Big hit in the mid 1990's.

You mean "accept", except doesn't make any sense in that sentence. The rest is common knowledge.

Thanks Warbow. I think many of us knew how JJ worked already. It really is a shame, because we will never see how great the Run n shoot COULD be with true 4 and 5 star qbs and wrs running it. if only JJ put more emphasis on himself and his staff to recruit!!

Too bad he doesn't read Ponyfans. We should all pool together, buy him an iPad with Ponyfans.com as the homepage. Judging by the projector demo, he probably doesn't know how to change it...24-hour motivation
