Because he worked with June previously that is why. Those are the only people he hires.

June hires people he knows. He has NO BCS recruiting or coaching experience so this is new territory and it's not the NFL. You'd think he'd find someone else who has travelled up and down I-35 once or twice.

Almost seems like June is mocking SMU. The old white stuffiness which parallels the park cities stereotype which among other things hinders attendance awareness and perception to avg fan and that's exactly what we have on this staff

while this could turn out to be true, it is interesting that Laken went from he "could be hired according to a source" on Scout to he "will be hired" on twitter. Always count on her to embellish and spin second hand info.
