If there's any doubt what the players/recruits prefer...just look at Sterling Moore's FB status

All I know is Adidas cranked out a lot of SMU-related merch for sale since we signed up with them. Some nice looking stuff too. I have an SMU track jacket that is bad-a made by adidas.
If Nike will treat the school right, then it can be fine.

But I'm bracing myself for some horrible monstrosity our football team might roll out next season.
Yes, recruits like it. But generally they are horrid looking.

Bryce Tennison @BET_on_it64
ATTENTION SMU STUDENT ATHLETES: Return all your Adidas gear to Albert. He will be re-issuing it in 5 years when the Nike contract expires.

@Haeli_Martin what Adidas was doing to our feet was down right WRONG! lol

No, just a butt-ugly uniform, although that has more to do with that putrid color than the manufacturer! :D

Love Adidas. Absolutely hate Nike.
But if it brings recruits, I guess I can grin and bear it (I just won't wear it).

Maybe a football version of this?

Don't forget, June and Phil Knight go way back. In addition, Nike paid a premium to land this deal, so expect us to be treated accordingly. It will be a big plus.

How much of a premium did they pay? I must have missed that information. Or is that inside info?

I thought ADDIDAS paid a premium to expand their presence in NCAA

JJ is probably pimping Phil K. to help him find another job real quick after this recruiting fiasco.

We can get silver helmets. Just imagine Peruna instead of the duck wings:

I'd be ok with pro combat uniforms in tribute to Doak Walker or Jerry Levias.
