Re: TCU Game
We must win at least one of the "tough three". (Baylor/A&M/TCU)
I would think it's going to be tough to beat TCU two years in a row, but it could happen.
If we can win just one of the games against Baylor/A&M/TCU we will likely be 2-2 after 4.

Re: TCU Game
I think their players got big heads against us last year and looked past us. Then thought that they could come back no matter how much down they got. This year will be different. They will be seeking revenge and not looking at us lightly. Of course, being in the Big 12 now will wear on them and we have a bye week leading up to it so I expect a very good game. We better come in with our own chip on our shoulders. I think it gets very tense on the field at times.

Is there going to be a large TCU billboard at Mockingbird and Central this year?

Re: TCU Game
The bye week will help us for sure. Anytime you can review the other team for two weeks is an advantage. It will also allow our players time to heal from the A&M game.
I'm confident that we have a chance with TCU.
We start the season playing against Baylor which has their own problems. They have a new QB that has less experience than GG and he is certainly not a RGIII. I would not want to be in that guys shoes. Their O-line is like our O-line in that they had a few seniors who graduated last year. They will need to gel their offense like ours. The advantage goes to us since we have a pretty good front 7 in our defense. Baylor defense is not that great either.
T&M will be a tough test for us and I think the results of that game will tell GP how much preparation he will do for playing us.
If we start 3-0 you can bet GP will be up late at night looking at our films and trying to figure out a way to beat us.
If we start 1-2 (like most people seem to be predicting) then I think GP may not prepare obsessively. Then again, the games that follow us are Iowa State and Baylor. He will probably not look past us this year. His pride is on the line more than anything else.
With all the talk of TCU doing well in the Big-12 this year and them having a chance to take the Big-12 title, I think it would be great for us "lowly" C-USA team to beat him again and ruin his teams ranking.
I'd love to see it happen and I can't wait for the game.

Re: TCU Game
How ready will they be when we beat A&M and come into that game undefeated?

Re: TCU Game
i actually think we jam it down their throat. i dont see any ways their team will be better then last year - and that game never felt like a fluke last year.
i am much more concerned about baylor and A$M.

SMU receivers make up for loss of Cole Beasley in win over TCU

One of the biggest story lines heading into Saturday was SMU going without top receiver Cole Beasley, who injured his knee the week before at Memphis.
But Beasley’s counterparts more than came through. Junior Darius Johnson had 152 yards and two touchdowns on 12 catches. Johnson, in his third straight 100-yard game, made several acrobatic, highlight-worthy grabs at clutch moments.
"I was really emotional out there," Johnson said. "I really don’t like these TCU people, so it was good to get this win."
And sophomore Jeremy Johnson, making his first start, in place of Beasley, made the game-winning, 19-yard catch in overtime on a post-corner route that SMU had practiced earlier in the week.
"Coach Jones told me he hadn’t seen me run that route like that," Johnson said. "I just kept working on it, and I brought it over to the game."
Jeremy Johnson said Beasley was coaching him throughout the game on the sidelines.
"Beasley, I think he was more excited than I was," said Johnson, who had six catches for 69 yards

I want to agree with this. The game I want a win against the MOST is aTm. A blow out on our part would be nice.
