For the record...I am not at all in favor of pachall dressing out. Part of being suspended (i would be fine if that is for the rest of the year) is not getting the priviledge of wearing the uniform. You should have to earn that back...I am shocked that anyone supports this move.

Seriously? Maybe not by the letter of the TCU law, but he's been a legal disaster the last 6 months. And that's only the stuff we know about. And sitting on the sideline in uniform is not a punishment. Being sent off to the stands by yourself is a punishment. Standing in the comfort of your team is not. Fatterson and the admin blew this one.

For the record, this was his first legal stint.

I get the 3 strike rule is based on university policy, but it looks like Patterson is choosing to selectively apply it to how it suits him and the win column the best. Let's call a spade a spade.
Caught "dealing drugs" will generally effectively show you the door at TCU. A DUI will not.

If you think comfort is standing on the sidelines while you know the camera is going to be on you a dozen times during the game- with announcers making unflattering comments about you, then you and I have a different definition of comfort. I don't know if this is the right move or not, but I'll have a better idea next year about this time.

He would stand out even more without a uniform unless he showed up with his Mexican wrestling mask so nobody could tell who he was

Not dressing out.
This process is slow because of the game tomorrow, then a decision that follows school rules

First LEGAL stint. No idea if he popped positive before as those records are confidential. By your definition, he could have blown a dozen prior drug tests and stillness good to go. Bottom line is that your definition, unless it's public police recordist doesn't count!

It does count, didn't imply or say otherwise. I was just referring to the "legal disaster" you mentioned.
Look, as I alluded to before, I would probably kick him off the team. I also wholeheartedly agree the kid needs help.

I didn't take the time to read all the pages of this thread, so if someone has already posted it, I apologize. I don't understand why anyone is surprised.......Fatterson said his #1 priority was WINNING...I mean, seriously, he gets his $$$$ from winning, not helping his players overcome their addictions. Why would we expect more from him than that?!?

He never said that. His number one priority is graduating his players and mentoring them to be model citizens. This is very clear and the former is actually backed up by data.

Then again, I just misread what he said. My bad.
