Personally I think I rather look good against Alabama and lose than look like crap and beat Tulane...

I've had my head handed to me by Bama ('76) and kicked TU's behind ('80). I would much rather beat TU than get killed by Bama.
I love winning, man. Its better than losing.

What I did see watching was Gilbert throwing a lot off of his back foot. When he steps into the throw he is much better. His back foot throws were due to the rush but I think think it was more of him making late decisions rather than OL blocking. Hopefully he can pick up quicker reads and things might begin to gel some for the offense. The defense looked very solid.
Thanks for the insight. You called this one.

I would agree with that, but moving it to this time what would you rather have good game against Texas or beating UTEP... I think Dallas prefer the good game

I would rather have a win. Now and anytime.
Certainly I wish we were strong enough to play and beat the Big Boys. We aren't there yet.
So I am satisfied with winning were we are. If we have a winning record, it will only be the 4th since the DP. Except for two .500 seasons, it has been nothing but losing. And that regardless of who we lose to isn't fun.
I think it is very difficult to build a solid program after so much commitment to failure. IIt might even take a full decade to build the program to the point of big time respectability. It took TCU about that amount of time.

Totally agree.
