I'm trying to do my part! Russ Potts lived in my neighborhood and because his daughter and my sis were friends in that era, we got to hear some very cool stories!
Plus, one summer -- one of the last few that my older bro and sis made the trek -- Russ's daughter came with us to Europe (my dad does speaking engagements and works with colleagues across the pond every summer). Funny stories from that adventure, nothing too cool on my end as I was ten years younger... but my sis and Russ's daughter (Christy, was that her name?) got on a train to adventure by themselves. They went the wrong way. Seriously. Also, I think that was the summer that Walk Like an Egyptian came out by Bananarama... so just as a few years before with Michael Jackson's Moonwalk I humbly obliged to make the teenager's laugh by doing my "Egyptian-walk" while the song played anywhere and everywhere. (Yes, I was always the entertainer... maybe they were laughing at me, but I still chose to believe they were laughing with me, because I was having fun.)
Anyway, that was one of my justly famous tangents.
Back to PAC-whatever#, I've only got this information from West Coast buddies who think I am in the know and are asking me about it. Personally, I have no clue... other than a few years back, Cali was one of the many and often stops of our football program's Patron Saint Paul B. Loyd, Jr. as we were were trying to find a conference that would at least someday allow us to compete for a Natl. Championship again. With the scant information I had, I figured... what the hell? I'll throw it on PonyFans.
So for all of you hitting me up on FB for more info., I have none.... and I honestly don't care to look into it further until we really start winning. This past Saturday was a good step.
