The only knocks I have on June with respect to QBs is 1) starting BLM over JWill because JWill wasn't June's type of QB. I think we could have won a bunch of games in year 1 with JWill under center. And 2, not recruiting a bonafide blue chip at QB and receiver. I think Burcham is the closest to a blue chip QB prospect we've recruited based in his Elite 11 performance. I think we may have stolen one in Burcham.
BLM was a June prototype QB, but apparently didn't have the head for the R&S. Padron was the guy Jones and Morrison hand picked, but Padron got in the doghouse, and rather than Ponying up, he transferred, which in my mind is what put us in this pickle.
JJMcD played great when he wasn't injured, but imagine where we'd be if we had Padron when JJ was hurt as well as this year. Remember, Gilbert is coming back from a rather nasty shoulder injury, and the last thing to return after an injury like that is your touch. If Padron was here, we would have had options and competition at QB.
