Re: Emanuel Sanders
i am genuinely surprises that this discussion is still going on. this reminds me of one of those threads that is started after a 7pm gametime loss, around 11pm, and goes on until about 2pm when everyone involved passes out, and then is never to be heard from again.
grow up. stop acting like a bunch of crybabies. ES not mentioning SMU is not what put this program in the crapper that it is currently in.

I don't care if he mentions SMU or not, but we did give him a ride on scholarship. Just send the money, ES, to keep supporting the athletes!

I hope this doesnt offend any of you...
But if I was doing a sunday or monday night intro, I would give a shout out to my high school as well. The impact/reaction from the kids would be/is more important then what a bunch of middle aged men thought/think.

also, he spent 18 years in his hometown. and like 4 at SMU. He worked his [deleted] off his whole life to get where he is, he can say whatever he wants in his intro.expony18 wrote:I hope this doesnt offend any of you...

Re: Emanuel Sanders
Interestingly, the person who started this thread didn't even spell his name correctly. It's Emmanuel Sanders.
Emmanuel's comment that I posted earlier about his reason for saying "Bellville, Texas" should end all discussion on this topic.
Move along. Nothing to see here.

Good to see.MrMustang1965 wrote:For those of you who were wondering about why ES did not mention SMU during his intro last night, here's the explanation from #88 himself:
"Respect and love SMU but we have a problem in my hometown of kids not striving for goals because they believe they can't make it out of Bellville. I wanted to show them it's possible. It was deeper for me than just saying my school."
On the other hand, it looks like Pittsburgh is checking out another WR:

Re: Emanuel Sanders
I don't think ES is worried about another receiver. I also know a fair number of pitt fans. They all love ES. They see him as a #1guy. He does wear #88 after all.PonyPower wrote:Good to see.MrMustang1965 wrote:For those of you who were wondering about why ES did not mention SMU during his intro last night, here's the explanation from #88 himself:
