yeah I'm almost positive they have used different TEs in different games-in one game they had a 2 TE offense on the goal line.

Right. What I mean is, he is listed at 6'0". So that probably means 5-10 or 5-11. Which may be why he is a running back?

Pitt is every bit of 6'1". Reed could be a legit six footer.

#97 that June has been using at tight end the last few games is Ben Hughes. He is listed as #50 on the roster.

makes sense. didn't want to be too blunt about it, but the 97 i say saturday was a big white guy. reed is a big black guy. don't know how to say that without it reading strangely.

Pretty sure the #97 I saw Saturday was a big black guy. I have been wrong once or twice in my life but do not think I am this time.[/quote]
The one I was next to on the field was white. Who knows. Still a great question as to why his name wasn't there. Reed isn't listed on any of the participation charts this year.

The #97 that made an appearance in Sat games against Tulsa, was #50 Ben Hughes. He had his 50 jersey on, and would slip the 97 over it. He did that a few times this year. I spoke to him after the game, and he joked how many times this year the PA announcers, and even the TV guy's would announce his name for a tackle, when in fact it was #50 Cameron Rogers. He said he would thank Cameron for the publicity, but now that Rogers is hurt and Ben is wearing #97 at times, he laughed and said my glory days are over.

Hughes lined up where he would be an eligible receiver so he had to wear a # that wasn't 50s 60s or 70s

Thanks Got it. Didn't see him pull off the jersey on the sideline and I checked a number of times.

Nice funny story. I like his attitude.

That's ben Hughes in a 97 jersey.... clearly you are color blind and have 4 inch thick glasses.

Did Lowe ever get into a game at OT or another position this year? Is he still thought to be a factor in the future?

S Lowe never touched the playing field this year, he'll be in the mix heading into spring and 2013.

Will he have one or two years of eligibility starting with the 2013 season?

Part of this year's "Good News, Bad News", was the number of defensive players that played this year due to the number of injuries. We have a number of players that gained playing experience early.

Looks like we'll have an additional JUCO lineman to factor into the mix.

What's the deal with Lowe? I've seen some posts on here that indicate he is a total zero, and I've seen others that indicate he may be the second coming of Orlando Pace. Is there a consensus?

Also, receiver worries me. They held Gilbert back this year. Gilbert clearly improved as the season went on. But if we could get some receivers that can actually catch the ball, he'd look like Joe Montana. Definitely need to see improvement in the receiver corps.

Lowe ended up being ineligible this year - found out late - I don't know the details. I've seen pictures of him and he looks like he's really leaned out. Unfortunately, he'll just have 1 year left I think. My gut tells me the guy will start and do really well.

Receivers - we need to rotate in several guys unless we find a good rhythm. Jeremy Johnson showed me that he's the only real starter out there coming back (wish he was about 4 inches taller and about 20 pounds heavier but he looks sometimes like Beasley and I'll take it). Darius Joseph showed some signs, definitely has some toughness. Stewart has potential. Start Deiter (big target that will compete, has good fundamentals - pure receiver). I think we need to replace Thompson (rotate him in for the occasional deep ball and definitely keep him on kickoffs and maybe punt returns). So DJ replaces DJ, Dieter replaces Holman, maybe Stewart replaces Thompson although I'm guessing they want Stewart in the slot. Then there's Gaines and Taylor coming in who both probably have the skills to play right away (Gaines certainly has the size).

What about the defensive side of the football? Losing quite a few starters.
