I think this year's starters are going to be great for our depth next year...just not sure how many are going to be on the floor at crunch time

that finish reminded me why I decided not to make the 7 hr drive to Birmingham where the forecast was for snow

Pretty much. Get out to a lead. Get in foul trouble. Run out of steam. No big play in crunch time.

Ugh, Leslie Smith would likely give us 4-5 wins. Pretty tired of these losses as I am sure the team is burned out by now...

what was most frustrating was that UAB (with no bigs) got so many offensive boards and in the last 5 minutes of that game, they owned us on the boards. It seemed like they just had more determination to win. This was by no means a talent mis-match
the good news is our guys come back next year with another year of experience and the team will be bolstered by at least 5 more talented guys.
next year...we have to keep reminding ourselves.
I still want to see these guys finish strong. Can they win at Tulsa? Can they beat UTEP on what will be a neutral court? Can they win a 1st round tourney game?

When you hear 'next year' from the head coach every day since early summer, it's pretty easy to get into that mode of thinking. I'm excited for these next 3 games, but more excited by the offseason. All the intrigue of an hbo drama, maybe more blood

Bummed. I had to go to a funeral service and missed the last 3 minutes. I was really thinking we might pull it off when I tuned out. What astounded me in looking at the box score was how bad the rebounding margin was - as CP pointed out - given how small their bigs are. Getting Kennedy, Moreira, and Blaise will have to help.
Can't wait till we get over the hump and start winning these close ones.

Well every day whatever the Big East will be called seems to get weaker and weaker, so we better wreck next year.
