This is probably the happiest I've been in my whole life! #thankyouGod #PONYUP
Cool.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Took me a while to get on the board since Saturday, but I just wanted to say congrats to the SMU basketball staff and welcome to SMU Mudiay! Couldn't be more excited

This will be a historic day in the life of SMU Athletics . . . biggest signing since ED in terms of recruiting ranking I believe . . .
(too bad he doesn't have any influence over the fball side of things like with James Proche, etc . . . they also have another five star in 2016 SG Terrance Ferguson . . . maybe he can work on recruiting him, too . . . )
I don't think that was a snobby comment - but fact. Are OSU fans snobby because they acknowledge that Dexter Manley couldn't read while attending college?
"After his career in the NFL ended, he revealed that he was functionally illiterate, despite having studied at Oklahoma State University for four years."
Bottom line - there are many reasons why folks think SMU people are snobby - but this post isn't one of them. Drive down fraternity/sorority row and look at the cars in the parking lots. THAT is why SMU gets branded as a rich, snobby playground.

No, OSU fans are pr!cks because forty years ago three guys in a bar got together and said "You know what, let's cal it THE Ohio State University every single time." Now, every one of those pr!cks calls it that, and it makes them, collectively, insufferable.

It is if that was actually not the case with LJ. Just because he did not score that high on his SAT test does not mean he was completely illiterate.

I have no problem with SMU being perceived as rich and snobby (with very good academics). As long as we have elite athletic programs that are exciting (football and bball), I welcome it!

Rich and snobby is not good when recruiting inner city kids as LB has said because SMU has the perception of being prejudice. And LB said that other programs use that (prejudice) perception against us in recruiting. It is not good to have a perception that the only reason that inner city kids are wanted here is to play sports. Being perceive as rich is fine but being perceived as snobby is not good.
