TCU is selling tickets right now on the TCU official site in the official visitors section which were not available until this week.

And yet our ticket office still has tickets.Stallion wrote:TCU is selling tickets right now on the TCU official site in the official visitors section which were not available until this week.
Something fishy here...I have a feeling we are not getting the full story. Did TCU purposefully make official visitors' section smaller for this game? Why would we give them back some tickets but not all?

Stallion- will you be wearing your purple or white TCU polo?
The 11am time slot absolutely blows though.. No tailgate time
Plenty of time.
Get there early. Park on their front yards.
Cooler temp than afternoon.

It's really not that complicated. SMU has kept a portion of their remaining tickets, I imagine the portion they believe they're going to be able to sell between now and game day (let's say 300 tickets) and have returned the remainder of their tickets to TCU. I'm sure they're doing that now because it was specified in some sort of agreement between the two schools to ensure that TCU has enough time to sell the tickets which we were unable to sell (especially if the number specified by the TCU fans of 1,200 is at all accurate).CalallenStang wrote:And yet our ticket office still has tickets.Stallion wrote:TCU is selling tickets right now on the TCU official site in the official visitors section which were not available until this week.

Re: Did SMU Sell Its Ticket Alotment for TCU Game?
Well my daughter (SMU student) just mentioned that the she had not yet received an email about tickets available for purchase by students. Two years ago she said all students received an email that only students who had swiped into at least one of the first two home games would be eligible to purchase tickets from the SMU allotment and that there would be a lottery (she was lucky and was able to purchase).
I called the SMU ticket office and was told that they didn't send an email out to students this time and that all remaining tickets had been sent back to TCU. I was told she should call the TCU ticket office or use a secondary ticket market. This is INSANE!!!!!!!! especially as they had sent an email last time. It is not difficult to send an email to students.

No, this is SMU. We do what we do. Or, don't do what we should. Or we do what we shouldn't.

@SMUMustangAlum
@AD_RickHart Truth in any of the rumors SMU failed to send students an email notifying them of the opportunity to purchase TCU tickets?

There was absolutely no email. I went in and bought tickets today, but most people didn't even know tickets were available. They really dropped the ball on this one.

If you were able to buy tickets yesterday, wonder why I was told all tickets had been sent back to TCU.Smerkins wrote:There was absolutely no email. I went in and bought tickets today, but most people didn't even know tickets were available. They really dropped the ball on this one.
