i would be glad to win the acc.
loserville has played a very easy schedule. if you want to get on somebody get on them. it has been a cake walk.
we can beat uofh. they are no big deal but they may beat loserville.
ucf will be very tough there.
there is no disgrace if we win this conference.![]()
ACC-> AAC
UCF is a home game.
i did see the acc but i left it because it made me feel better.
i change my ucf to pick'em.
(Though winning the ACC would be fine too)
Enough of your antagonistic bullsh*t. "Smu fans" aren't afraid to play bcs schools. Our team sh*ts the bed against any team with a pulse, making people hesitant to schedule 4 teams in a row that are guaranteed to blow our doors off. I don't think there's a single smu fan that doesn't want to beat the big boys, but we don't have a team that can compete and it doesn't look like we will anytime soon.Stallion wrote:SMU fans are too frightened to even play BCS schools. SMU hasn't earned jack and there aren't many signs it will earn jack.
AND WHOSE FAULT IS THAT??????????????? THE LAZY MENTAL HERNIA OF A COACH THAT REFUSES TO RECRUIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After 6 friggin years you would think we could at least be half-way competitive.SMU2007 wrote: I don't think there's a single smu fan that doesn't want to beat the big boys, but we don't have a team that can compete and it doesn't look like we will anytime soon.

Yep- best laid plans..................SMUer wrote:The RbS was supposed to make it so that if we lose, we'd only lose in a shoot out...not lose by 21+ unfortunately. Looked good on paper..
Dude, all we want is to win out and let the chips fall where they may. If SMU earns a BCS by the rules in place, then I don't really give $h-it whether you or other people think we earned it.Stallion wrote:The Mind of too Many Ponyfans: If we raised the number of AAC teams ranked above 100 in computer bowls from 4 to about 8 then we'd have a great shot at the BCS. How about instead we build a program worthy of earning true BCS respect
This thread is about qualifying for a bcs bowl by winning the conference. Non conference games have nothing to do with winning the conference, unless we end up tied and no one on here thinks we would be ranked ahead of Louisville in the bcs standings whether we played Baylor or not.Stallion wrote:SMU's schedule is going to be ranked about 70-75th toughest schedule by seasons end. 5th toughest in Texas. You can make an argument it is the 6th toughest in Texas at least from a AAC perspective since UH plays Louisville-who we don't and play Louisville and UCF on the road. SMU ducked Baylor a traditional rival at Home., avoided Louisville, they avoided Boise St. SMU can be bowl eligible w/o beating a Top 70 team in what they are touting as a BCS conference-SMU fans are [deleted] down their legs because they are playing a schedule that will end up about at least 50 slots below TCU's schedule

Before anyone goes there, it''s not good enough. Let's keep going. But we've earned *something*
We are nowhere near the 55th best team in the nation. You're biased support for JJ is disgusting. Be honest, what is your relation to JJ?

Actually, it isnt poor performance. There just is a lack of talent which is 100% on this staff. I don't know what that has to do with fans "p*ssing down their legs". This team is near the bottom of the college football pile and no amount of scheduling hard or easy teams is going to change that. Here's an idea: recruit harder you lazy b*stards.
I do not follow the first part about our schedule being an embarrassment. It was embarrassing to drop Baylor after we scheduled them, but that does not mean our schedule is an embarrassment. What is it about our schedule that is an embarrassment? I get the results being embarrassing, but you specifically referred to the schedule itself separate from the results.SMU2007 wrote:Our schedule is an embarrassment but the poor performance of the team against that schedule is even more of an embarrassment.
